Grid Squared Technician, Andrew “2 Chainz” Kowitt, has made it through the qualifying round of GoGo Currys 5th Annual Eating Championship and is on to the U.S. finals.
The next competition will pit Andrew against 4 other contestants, they will have 5 minutes and 55 seconds to devour as many bowls of Curry Rice as they can. When the clock hits 0:00 the person with the most bowls eaten will be crowned the United States Champ and will be flown to Japan for the final round in 2014.
Andrew will be up against some stiff competition, including the US Champions from 2012 and 2011 as well as the Japanese preliminary winner.
Lon Bazelais, Managing Member of Grid Squared Systems told us, ” Andy, or rather 2 Chainz as we call him, is a great tech, he always goes out of his way for our clients and we are proud to sponsor him and his foray into the competitive eating world. We wish him the best and will rooting hard for him”.
When asked how he feels about his chances Andrew told us that he is confident and that he has been training well. The big unknown for him is the competitor from Japan.
Grid Squared Systems is encouraging all of its friends and associates to come down and cheer on Andrew on Saturday July 6th at JaNet Hall 2 W. 47th Street 7th Floor. Pre-show starts at 4pm with the contest slated to begin at 5pm.
