When the board members of 36 West 138th street met for their first security upgrade meeting they had no idea where to turn for a cost effective security upgrade. So, they looked to Grid Squared Systems (Grid) of Long Island City to deliver security, surveillance and cutting edge solution into a fixed budget.
Board members gave Grid two main directives for the uptown property: ensure the safety of building residents and create a sophisticated but comfortable living environment with additional interior cameras.
The six-story building required careful planning to implement all new cabling in an existing structure. Grid worked hand-in-hand with the buildings team to determine the best locations to provide security and discretion.
Upon completion the building now has an entirely new infrastructure of wiring. All new color cameras covering all floors, from the lobby to the roof. Exterior camera additions of new multifunctional infrared cameras. The new digital recorder allows tenants to view all cameras through and RF connection with the cable company and remote connection into the DVR via the internet.
